Airbnb & Short-Term Rental Upholstery Cleaning in Palo Alto

Sofas, sofa beds, mattresses and headboards cleaned between guests — scheduled around your check-in, with photo documentation you can use for listings or damage claims. Covering Palo Alto and the surrounding Bay Area.

For a short-term rental, upholstery is not a maintenance item — it is a review. A guest who spots a mark on a mattress or catches a smell in the sofa bed writes about it, and that sentence sits on your listing permanently, costing you bookings long after the stain itself is gone.

We cover Palo Alto as part of our regular Bay Area service area, so there is no travel surcharge and no minimum contract. Whether it is a single room of seating or a full refit before a reopening, the job is quoted on what is actually there.

Soft furnishings are also the one part of a property a changeover clean cannot reset. Your turnover cleaner handles laundry, surfaces and restocking — they do not carry extraction equipment. So the sofa, the mattress and the sofa bed quietly accumulate every guest who came before, until one of them finally mentions it.

What we clean

Sofas & lounge seating

The main living-room seating every guest uses, including under and between the cushions.

Sofa beds & pull-outs

Both the sofa and the mattress folded inside it — the item almost no turnover clean ever touches.

Mattresses & toppers

Deep extraction for stains, perspiration and anything a mattress protector missed.

Headboards & upholstered bases

Fabric headboards where hair product, sun cream and hand oils build up unseen.

What we treat

Unknown guest history

A full reset when you have no idea what previous guests left behind, and no way to ask.

Odour between stays

Extraction rather than fragrance, so it does not resurface on the first warm afternoon.

Damage claim documentation

Before and after photos plus an itemised professional invoice to support an AirCover or deposit claim.

Listing photography

Furniture brought back to a presentable state before you reshoot or relist.

How commercial cleaning works

Walk-through

We look at the actual seating and fabric types on site before quoting, so the price reflects the real job.

Fabric check

Every fabric is checked and spot-tested first — vinyl, contract weave and delicate blends are not treated the same way.

Dry vacuum

Loose debris, crumbs and grit come out before any moisture goes in.

Pre-treatment

A pre-treatment matched to the soiling — degreasing where there is cooking oil, enzyme-based for protein and perspiration.

Agitation

Gentle agitation where the fabric can take it, working the treatment into seams and high-contact areas.

Rinse & extract

Fabric-safe rinse and deep extraction to pull the loosened soil and residue out of the padding.

Dry passes & check

Multiple dry passes to cut drying time, then a final walk-through with you before we leave.

How commercial pricing works

Commercial work is quoted per site rather than off the standard per-item list. The price depends on how many seats there are, the fabric, the condition, and how much access we get — a long banquette run is a different job to twenty separate chairs.

We work around check-out and check-in windows, including early mornings, same-day turnovers and back-to-back changeovers. Managing several properties? We can schedule multiple units in one run.

Send a few photos and a rough count and we will come back with a fixed figure and a realistic time on site. Recurring schedules — quarterly, twice-yearly — are quoted at a lower rate than one-off visits.

Honest expectations

Most commercial soiling improves dramatically, but we will not promise a perfect result on set-in dye, bleach damage or years-old grease. We tell you what we expect to achieve before we start, and we would rather talk you out of a job than take money for a result you will not be happy with.

Drying & downtime

Most commercial upholstery is back in use within a few hours; vinyl and faux leather sooner. We plan the visit around your opening hours so the downtime falls when you are closed, and we will tell you straight if a turnaround is too tight rather than leaving you with damp seating.

Common questions

Yes — Palo Alto is inside our regular Bay Area service area and we cover it as standard, with no travel surcharge. We can usually get to you within the same week, and sooner if you have a fixed closure day coming up.

Pricing is the same across our whole service area — commercial work is quoted per site based on seat count, fabric, condition and access rather than a fixed list price. Send photos and a rough count for a firm figure.

Often yes, but it depends on the item. Sofa and chair fabric is usually fine within a few hours; a deep-cleaned mattress needs longer. Tell us the check-in time when you enquire and we will tell you honestly whether it is realistic or whether it needs a gap night — we would rather say no than leave you with a damp bed and a guest at the door.
